Dad was born in Winnipeg,Manitoba, Canada on February 28, 1942. As a toddler his grandparents took care of him because his dad was in the Canadian Navy and out at seaand his mom was in the hospital with tuberculosis.

Growing up dad had several nicknames; his nana Charles called him Ducky, and his dad called him Squirt.

When dad tried to say uncle Jimmie it came out uncle Dee, and after that most everyone started calling dad “Dee” too.

When he was in high school his journalism teacher called him Flash.

I used slide mounts for the nicknames and then I used chalk to match the background colors.
